The NACSW™ has established the guidelines for certification of K9 Nose Work® instructors. NACSW™ involvement has been to ensure that standards of excellence are met in teaching the activity of K9 Nose Work® to handler/dog teams.
CNWI™:
Certified Nose Work Instructors may use the acronym, CNWI™, following their name to indicate that they have met the instructor certification requirements. CNWI™ operate under their own businesses and are not employed through the NACSW™. Each instructor may have their own class requirements and structure. Please contact them directly for more detailed information. CNWI™ are required to maintain continuing education in order to maintain a current certification status. Instructors listed are current in their certification unless otherwise noted.
Any other persons using CNWI™ without permission are not in any way recognized or supported by the NACSW™.
Please visit http://www.k9nosework.com for more information on workshops, classes and getting started with K9 Nose Work®.
ANWI™:
Not all regions have instructors who have completed the certification process. However, we may have people in your area who are enrolled in our instructor program and who have demonstrated their commitment to learning how to teach K9 Nose Work® as developed by the founders of the sport. These teachers will be designated as ANWI™ which stands for Associate Nose Work Instructor.
A current listing of CNWI™ and ANWI™ is made available on this website.
